Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This privacy policy explains what information Techno-Pulse collects when you visit www.techno-pulse.com, why it's collected, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us at admin [at] techno-pulse [dot] com and we'll explain it properly.
Who runs this site
Techno-Pulse is a technology blog published by Basant Narayan Singh. It has been running since October 2009. It's an independent site, not a company, and it's funded by advertising.
Information we collect
We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't run a mailing list. The data collected happens automatically as you browse:
- Usage data. Pages you visit, how long you stay, the site that referred you, and rough location at country or city level.
- Device data. Browser type, operating system, screen size, and language setting.
- Cookies and similar storage. Small files placed on your device by us and by third parties. Details below.
If you email us or leave a blog comment, we'll hold whatever you chose to send, including your name and email address, so we can reply.
Cookies and advertising
Techno-Pulse uses cookies to keep the site working and to fund it through advertising.
Google AdSense. We display ads served by Google. Google uses cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites on the internet. Google and its partners may use this to show you ads relevant to your interests.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Opting out doesn't remove ads, it just makes them less relevant to you.
Third-party advertising vendors may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, when they serve ads on this site. We don't control those cookies and we can't see the data they collect. Their own privacy policies apply.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles people read and where readers come from. It sets cookies that record usage in aggregate. We use this to decide what to write about. You can block it with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies won't stop you reading the site, though some things may display differently.
Sponsored and affiliate content
Some articles on this site are sponsored, meaning a company paid for the placement. Every sponsored article carries a visible Sponsored label at the top, and every paid link is marked with rel="sponsored". We also sometimes use affiliate links, where we may earn a commission if you buy something after clicking. Those are disclosed on the articles that carry them.
Payment never buys a favourable opinion. Where we assess a product, the assessment is ours.
How the information is used
We use what's collected to serve and improve the site, understand which topics readers find useful, display advertising, and reply to messages you send us. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers named above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to it being processed. Readers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have these rights under GDPR. Readers in California have similar rights under the CCPA.
To make a request, email admin [at] techno-pulse [dot] com. We'll respond within 30 days. Because we don't run accounts, in most cases the only data we hold about an individual reader is what your browser sends automatically.
Children
This site is written for a professional and technical audience. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Links to other sites
Articles here link out to other websites. Once you follow a link, you're on someone else's site under their privacy policy, not ours. We'd encourage you to read it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted on the site.
